# What does it mean to have custom billing?

> Custom billing solutions are used for some contracted organizations with unique billing requirements that don't fit standard prepaid or invoiced models. These solutions accommodate complex data plan structures, specialized pricing, and other unique billing requirements.

  **Caution:** Custom billing limitations only apply to contracted organizations that have been notified by their account team that they have a custom billing solution.

## How does custom billing work?

If your organization is set up with custom billing, your account team will send you all billing documents, invoices, statements, and transaction directly.

Billing information is not available in the dashboard for organizations with custom billing. This includes:

* Invoices
* Statements
* Transactions
* Account balance
* Data plan pricing, including data usage rates and monthly recurring charges
