# Device certifications

> The device certification process ensures compliance with cellular network standards. Hologram requires your devices have at least a PTCRB or GCF certification.

Hologram requires devices on our network to have at least a **[PTCRB](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PTCRB)** or **[GCF](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GCF)** certification. If a device is 4G, or Cat-M1 and will be deployed in the United States and plans to use Verizon's network it requires a **Verizon** certification. Hologram also highly recommends getting additional certifications, where applicable, for the carriers you plan on using while on our network. Common examples of these are **AT\&T's** certification.

Having these certifications will ensure the best performance possible.
