Set up the Electron

  1. Activate your Hologram SIM.
  2. Visit https://setup.particle.io/ and select Setup an Electron.
  3. Enter your SIM ICCID; confirm non-Particle SIM.
  4. Update firmware to set APN to hologram.

Install Particle CLI (macOS/Linux)

npm install -g particle-cli
Flash firmware over serial when the device is in listening mode (blinking blue):
particle flash --serial firmware.bin
Insert the SIM, connect antenna and battery, then power the Electron. Wait for breathing cyan to confirm connectivity.
