Deprecated: Fleet events is a temporary replacement for legacy Inflight/Action Items functionality for users with access to data usage thresholds. We are working to incorporate this functionality and the /alerts endpoints into Event monitoring and Alerts and will phase out this feature once that conversion is complete.

How are fleet events different from alerts?

Fleet events are currently carried over to support users with access to our legacy Inflight/Action Items functionality and users with access to data usage thresholds. Fleet events are not currently available to new accounts. Fleet events cannot trigger notifications or alerts, and cannot be viewed for a single SIM. However, Alerts and Event Monitoring functionality lets you create notifications for some of these same events.
  • Data limits reached - Also available as events in Event Monitoring, where you can set up notifications for when a data limit is reached and a SIM is paused.
  • Data usage thresholds reached - Limited to this page only.
  • IMEI TAC changes – IMEI, IMEI TAC changes, and first attached events are available in Event Monitoring, where you can set up notifications for when any of these three types of events are detected.

How to view and resolve fleet events

You can think of these as a passive notification system to let you track and acknowledge some events that happen across for your fleet. We recommend using Alerts to create notifications for these events unless you are reliant on data usage thresholds to monitor data usage.
1

Open the Fleet events page

Either click on a type of Fleet events from the Home page of your dashboard, or navigate to the Event monitoring section in the main menu, and open the Fleet events page.
2

Resolve events

Resolve individual events by pressing the Dismiss button for an event. You can undo this action by pressing Show all and then using the Unacknowledge button for an event.
