How invoiced billing works

Monthly billing cycle

With invoiced billing your organization is billed on a monthly basis for all monthly recurring charges and data usage. Invoices are then generated on the 2nd day of the calendar month for all charges accrued during the previous month. Payment is due according to the net payment terms specified in your contract. With invoiced billing, data usage is reported on a monthly basis for each SIM. Data usage totals and usage reports also change to calculating on a monthly basis.

What’s included in invoices

Each monthly invoice includes:
  • Monthly recurring charges (MRCs) for all SIMs active during the month.
  • Data usage charges for all usage during the calendar month.
  • Additional monthly charges such as phone numbers, SMS messaging, minimum commitments, and support packages, if applicable.
Note: While invoicing occurs on a monthly basis, data limits are still enforced based on each SIM’s individual 30-day billing cycle. This means a SIM’s data limit may be reached mid-month even though your invoice covers the full calendar month.

Payment methods

Invoiced billing requires two payment methods:
  1. Primary payment method — ACH bank transfer used for invoice payments.
  2. Backup payment method — Credit card used only if ACH payment fails.
Important: Both payment methods must be set up before your organization can be configured for invoiced billing.

Invoice delivery

Monthly invoices are automatically sent to all users with the Admin role in your organization. You can specify additional email addresses to receive invoices in the Stripe.
