What happens if I change from prepaid billing to invoiced billing?

Your organization will be billed differently beginning the next calendar month. Instead of paying as you go and paying down an account balance, you’ll receive a monthly invoice for all charges accrued during the previous month. Payment is due according to the net payment terms specified in your contract.

Data usage reporting

With invoiced billing, data usage changes calculations change from a 30-day basis beginning on the date your SIMs were activated, to reporting on a monthly basis for each SIM. Data usage totals and usage reports also change to calculating on a monthly basis.

Billing account details

Your saved credit card information will no longer be available as your primary payment method. Instead, you’ll need to enter ACH bank account information when you pay your invoices. Your saved credit card will be used as your backup payment method. You will no longer have an account balance to draw down from, and auto-refill will be disabled. Instead, you’ll need to pay your invoices according to your contract’s net payment terms.

A new Invoices page will appear in the Billing section of your dashboard for viewing and paying invoices.

What changes if I switch from invoiced billing to prepaid billing?

If you switch from invoiced billing to prepaid billing, your organization will once again pay for data usage and charges as they occur. You will need to maintain a positive account balance to avoid service interruptions, which you can refill using a credit card. You will also need to set auto-refill back up to automatically add funds to your account when it’s low.

Data usage reporting

Beginning the next calendar month, data usage will once again be reported on a 30-day basis beginning on the date each SIM was activated, and monthly recurring charges will be billed on the same 30-day billing cycle.

Billing account details

Your saved credit card will once again be available as your primary payment method. Your account balance will display in the Account page in the Billing section of your dashboard. You will also be able to configure auto-refill to automatically add funds to your account when it’s low.

What happens if I switch from custom billing back to standard billing?

Account balance, transactions, statements, and invoices while configured with custom billing are managed independently from standard billing. Depending on your configuration, your billing information from during this time may not be available or accurate in your dashboard.
