SMS-capable devices on Hologram’s cellular network can send messages to the Cloud Services Router via standard circuit-switched SMS messages to Hologram’s SMS inbox. You don’t need to specify API credentials, as Hologram can authenticate devices by their SIM cards.
Note: Each profile type (i.e. G1, G2, G3, etc) has a different Cloud number, which can be found in the table below:
ProfileCloud number
Global-1 (G1)+447937405250
Global-2 (G2)+80112
Global-3 (G3)+467190002980389

How do I send an outbound circuit-switched SMS from a SIM?

Hologram Cloud’s phone number:
+447937405250
Example SMS body
Hello, World!
The SMS message can be viewed in the Activity history drawer at the bottom of the page in your dashboard. The SMS event created will include the _SMS_DO_ event tag and the _DEVICE_[deviceid]_ event tag associated with the SIM. You can also view the list of events using the List Data Engine Messages REST API endpoint.
Note: Sending SMS messages from your device on the Hologram network will incur fees at outbound SMS rates, which are typically more costly than data rates. You can find the current SMS rate for your SIM in the SIM’s Pricing tab or in the Data plan’s details page.
Limited functionality: This feature not available for legacy Indigo SIMs, which do not have access to send circuit-switched SMS.
